When I first embarked on CPA journey, I have never taken an exam of this magnitude and it overwhelmed me.  After a couple of unsuccessful tries, I spent a great deal of time in determining the study method that worked for me.  This included learning how to take efficient notes so that i won't have to dead reading intimidating volume of study books, and also leaning to summarize key areas.
The result is these notes - ever since I started applying this approach of note taking, I have passed all my exams (CPA, CIA and EA) and drastically shortened my study time as I was able to get a firm grasp of the material.  At about 50-100 pages long in total, it was convenient way to remember the concepts of underlying study topics.
I carried them in my ipad so I can read it anywhere, also printed and turned them into spiral notebooks and used them as a study guide as i was taking multiple choice questions.
Note:
I passed exams in 2019, thus exam material may or may not be most up-to-date.  However, with just about 50-100 pages long, these notes were designed to focus on underlying accounting concepts and many of accounting concepts are still relevant today.  As a matter of fact, I still refer back to these notes time to time to refresh the concepts.  The result is that I am considered as one of diligent employees with fundamentally sound knowledge of accounting that most.
