    How it works: you send us

    unit, we send it back in about a week
    Add the following per request:
    - Gear C installed (the only one that fails) (40.00 installed)
    - Belt replaced (30.00)
    - Pinch roller cleaned (5.00)
    - Heads cleaned and demagnetized (5.00)
    - Transport lubed (5.00)
    - Transport servo switch cleaned (5.00)
    - Inspection solder joints,  plugs and bus wire  connections (5.00)
    Package deal total: 200.00 plus return shipping.
    Mod Technical Description
    :  Simultaneous post fader output of 1-4  tracks via RCA terminals. Result:
    Adding four post fader outputs will allow you to output 8 tracks of audio into your DAW or 8 track reel to reel,  4 tracks out with EQ and Fader control, along with the factory 4 direct out the unit already has, resulting in 8 tracks out during mixdowns.  Allowing the best of both worlds during final mixdowns in your DAW or PC and adding "fatter analog tone" since the tracks can be doubled.

    Our tech secures an Associates of Applied Science Degree in Electronics from Kirkwood College and has repaired
    the 488's since their introduction into the market in the early 90's.
