Vintage Yoruba Gold washed Brass Handmade Granulated Beads Filigree Face Pendant

DESCRIPTION:
This is a wonderful Vintage Handmade Gold Washed over Brass Necklace, made by the Yoruba Peoples of Nigeria.  This style dates to about 80 years ago, and is no longer being made.  The beads are handmade with a granular covering, then lightly plated with gold.  Some retain more gold than others, however the patina is wonderful.
This style can be restrung and worn as a necklace, and includes a sweet handmade heart-shaped clasp plus a Filigree Pendant: star-shaped with a repousse face. These beads are great to incorporate into Jewelry making projects and set your creations apart from the pack, for sure, being delicate, fascinating & unique Vintage components.  Hard to find these days!
SIZE:
~22.5" including ~1" clasp.  Pendant measures~ 2" star tip to tip.  Granulated beads vary as they are handmade, are ranging ~4-7mm hole to hole (H-H) and ~6-7mm wide.  There are a few Vintage black AB Czech trade beads mixed in ~6mm H-H.
CONDITION:
This is a Vintage handmade item that has traveled, been worn, and shows appropriate expected wear and tear, but is in good condition. Needs restringing.  A few of the beads show tiny holes at what looks like a seam, but most are intact.  The finish is what I would describe as "matte gold".  The Filigree Pendant is shinier, with a spot or two of breakthrough green oxidation.
