Beautiful small piece of industrial "art"!
Vintage wooden casting molds once used to form sand castings which then were filled with molten iron, or so I understand.  Now they are wonderful works of art and homages to the industrial age.  Please check my other listing for several more items, including wooden gears, from this collection.  Many of these pieces were marked with "National Drying".
Well worn with numbered tag and interesting tar-like coating.  Please see photos for details.
