Packed securely in a poly bag between two sheets of corrugated cardboard in a Kraft envelope.
The story behind the photo we are selling:
From 1981 until 1997 the owner of a record store, created hundreds of displays using promotional materials (posters and flats) sent to them by record companies.
For each display created, a snapshot was taken and saved for the store’s photo archive while a duplicate was sent to the appropriate record company.
With new promotional materials arriving at least once a week, most displays remained up for only a week or two. Whenever one was replaced ALL the materials were either given away to very happy customers, or used for the local food bank drive. “Bring in a can of food, get a free flat or poster!”
Unfortunately, nothing remains of those timeless displays except this original 3.5” x 5” full color snapshot. Even the negatives are nowhere to be found.
