Vintage Hat Maker Headblock Form - 22-796

Description

Vintage Hat Headblock Form numbered 22 796 with a stamp indicating Chicago on the bottom. The bottom also has the date of 1944 with the name Liviah Oslund. There is also another writing on the bottom stating this was the headlock they used for making hats. The form is in very good condition with just a couple of dents. That is quite surprising as I believe the wood to be Balsa, very soft and easily dented. The photos show the couple of places the form took a hit or dented, but as a whole it is very nice.It measures approximately  22 1/2 or 22 3/4 in circumference, but I do not know it's size.

Please also realize our house, shop and storage areas were inundated with smoke a couple of summers ago from the fires around our house. We had one this summer a block away and tried to bag all items we could before evacuating. If there is a smell of smoke, we can only apologize for the smell.
