Vintage wood foundry mold made from cabbage bark wood.
Unusual design looks like a pattern to cast parts for a patio or beach umbrella. (just a guess). Perfect for display and conversation piece. Extremely dense hardwood with beautiful grain. Spindle is 1-7/16" in diameter and 12-3/8" long. Mold is 4-5/8" tall and 5" in diameter at the widest point. The top is 3-3/4" in diameter and the base is 3-5/8" in diameter. Each of the 8 slots is 11/16" wide. The hole in the base is slightly over 1-7/16" in diameter so the spindle moves freely. The hole is 3-3/4" deep. Excellent overall condition.
