Description

Vintage restaurant ware grade coffee cup with CMLICo acronym, which I believe is for Connecticut Mutual Life Insurance Co. which moved out of downtown Hartford to Garden Street in 1925. Scammell's Lamberton China mark (Scammell China Company 1924 - 1954 Trenton, NJ) dates to 1928 - circa 1930. I know CMLI had an employee dining room & am assuming this cup came from there. CMLI merged with Mass Mutual in 1995. Cup measures apx 2 3/8" tall, 3 5/8" top dia., 2" bottom dia. Good used condition. No cracks. 1 shallow chip/flake on bottom rim which is smooth to the touch.
