    Description

    NICE Vintage Cobblers Tool Anvil Heavy Solid Cast Iron Shoe Boot Form Marked “H 5” .
    Roughly 10” from heel to toe. 3” wide at the widest part /‘ball’ of foot.
    Seems to be formed for a left side ladies shoe or small boot, very solid and heavy around 25pounds of solid cast iron. I’m unsure of its origin and age, though it is definitely old, from Pennsylvania Dutch country. I do not know for certain if it’s for ladies or mans or any details on that.
    2 mounting/ securing holes on very bottom base where I would say it could easily be secured and lagged or bolted down to a work bench. Then a 3rd mounting hole at the front “face” of the base, below the marking. This hole protrudes into the base about 1&1/4” and is about a 3/8” size. The other 2 mounting holes are about 5/8” diameter (no threads).
    These type vintage/ antique cobblers anvil/ shoe forms are definitely becoming increasingly rare/ hard to find in good condition, and this one has some rust on the bottom but over-all is VERY NICE CONDITION for its age.
