Vintage 60's Sun Ring Goldtone Openwork, Adjustable Decorative Band Scarves?

If you collect vintage costume jewelry, please bookmark our sellers page.  After collecting for almost 50 years, it's time to thin out the collection and only keep the pieces my daughter and I wear.  We have everything from 1930's to contemporary.  I have never gained the knowledge that so many of you possess.  I bought what I liked and never learned materials, circa dates etc., so I am listing with the help of a good friend that is knowledgeable in certain areas as well as a couple of collectors groups but in the end, you PLEASE be the judge if the information is correct.
I am told this ring was popular in the 60's and I was thinking 70's but you be the judge.  It was a very inexpensive ring based on the ornate adjustable band. BUT the style makes up for it and I love wearing it as the largest, craziest ring I own!  The orange dome center is faux something and the curly ques are bright gold and something you can't miss!
It has also been suggested to me this could have been used to hold scarves together but if it did, the scarf would have had to be very thin

When you wear this ring, people will know it is extra special so why wear new when you can wear old and be only person showing up with this exact ring!

Size:  Approximately1 3/4" but looks larger in person and more substanial in size.
