    Description

This is a very old amulet from North Africa. It is made up of many materials such as
    gilded
silver, coins, coral along with very old faience beads. The amulet was not worn by commoners but used exclusively for nobility or
    royalty
    .  As the
    narrative
states the purpose of this amulet was to ward off  D'Jinns (
    origin
of Genie) for the purpose of cleaning or clearing an area of spirits.
This is very old, the age is unknown.  It has been in the seller's collection for over 50 years. The photo shows a clip where it opens up to place around the neck. End to end it measures about 16 or so inches. There is a small clear bag inside the display case of one bead that has broken. It most likely can be cemented to make the amulet complete. Study the photos carefully to see what is being offered and the condition of the item. It comes with a display case.
    Ancient Egyptian
    faience beads
were most commonly used as jewelry for both the living and the dead. Faience is a material that is composed of quartz or sand mixed with various materials and then fired in a kiln. The distinctive turquoise color of Egyptian faience comes from a copper compound that was frequently added to the mixture, but objects made of faience have been found in almost every color.
