    Description

Dressed in full tartan plaid regalia, the dancers and musicians in these vintage photographs give an interesting insight into theater acts of the early 20th century.
The circa 1910s - 1920s photographs capture two different acts featuring Donald McAdam. One shows the actor in traditional Scottish costume with the Sullivan Sisters who appear to be dressed more in an Irish fashion. This photograph is black and white. The other old photograph shows McAdam with a Scottish fiddler. This photograph is in sepia tones.
From the collection of an avid vaudeville ephemera collector, the photographs are in good condition for their age showing wear consistent with their age and use.
One photograph is back-stamped "Donald McAdam and Sullivan Sisters Road Show 375" and an embossed stamp from the "Browne of St. Thomas Ont." photography studio. The other photograph does not identify the subjects, (but a close look shows it's McAdam in the photo), and has a pencil notation on the back "Quick Turn then Quick" and is embossed "W & A Bacon Studio, Boston."
