    Description

U.S. Mail Boats Gold Beach Oregon Shoulder Patch.
Offered here is a patch from the Rouge River Jet Boats tour that begins in Gold Beach, Oregon and goes up the river.
In 1895 the U.S. mail was delivered to the towns and camps along the river by boat rowed and poled up the river for generations. Originally done by individual settlers who worked together on this, it became a company in 1958 and then two small companies dedicated to this task. These were the first jet boats in the U.S. to deliver mail. Now there is only one company, Jerry's Rogue Jet Boats.
The shoulder patch, or bag patch, commemorates this method of mail delivery and the fun of the current jet boat tours. This patch is over 20 years old and is in excellent, like new condition. I sell it as used because it has no original bag.
The patch is 3 inches wide and 3 inches tall.
