Rare! Antique Emperor Menelik II Silver Coin Medallion Ethiopian Made Pendant

This is a antique Ethiopian silver 1 Birr coin which pictures Emperor Menelik II of Ethiopia on the obverse side and on the reverse side is pictured the crowned Conquering Lion Of Judah which was handmade into a medallion pendant long ago in Africa by Ethiopian metalsmiths. This antique pendant measures 2 inches long (including the bail) by 1.56 inches wide. Excellent antique condition with slight wear in regards to the Menelik coin with wear to the bail from being worn a lifetime on a linked metal chain which cut a pattern into the bail from the links rubbing into the silver - still wearable. Please look at the bail in the third photo to see the area the links cut into the bail. This piece is a hard to find item and a very desirable Ethiopian collectible which would look great used in jewelry applications or would fit right into any African art collection, antique coin collection or African Trade bead collection.
