THIS IS MOST LIKELY A WOODEN FOUNDRY PIECE DIE FORM OR HAT FORM???. WE HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO FIND OUT TOO MUCH INFORMATION ON THIS PIECE. WHETHER YOU WOULD USE IT AS THE MAKER INTENDED OR TO BE DISPLAYED AS A PRIMITIVE PIECE WE KNOW IT IS GOING TO GET SOME TALK. IT HAS HANDLES ON EACH SIDE AND THERE IS AN IDENTIFICATION TAG ON THE INSIDE AND OUTSIDE. MOST LIKELY IT WAS USED TO INVENTORY THE TOOL. IT HAS NATURAL WEARING ALONG THE EDGES AND CORNERS.
THE FOUNDRY IS 11" X 11" X 4" TALL AND THE LARGEST INTERIOR DIAMETER IS JUST UNDER 8.5"
