You are bidding on a ONE OF A KIND ANTIQUE 1891 Photo in ORIGINAL Frame of the American Extravaganza Company Vaudeville Acting Group of Chicago, Illinois led by EDDIE FOY SR. It is an ORIGINAL cast photo on photo board of the AEC during the time period when they were performing 'SINBAD" (AKA "The Maid of Balsora") with some of the cast members in costume. After some extensive research, I was able to identify most of the people in the photo and have printed out a list with numbers showing who is who. On the back of the frame, the backing paper is unfortunately gone and seemingly had the names of everyone in the photo, but the only name that remains in cursive is "Charles K. French". Mr French was a well known film actor in the early 1910s and did mostly older people, but his name was listed as a backstage helper or crew member during the 1891 performances of Sinbad. This is the earliest known photo of Mr. French that I have seen. This is an ORIGINAL PIECE (not a copy or reprint). Item is in VERY GOOD Condition for its age. No cracks in glass or frame. Obvious weathering and wear, backing paper has disintegrated. Photo itself is 12" x 16". In frame, item measures 15" x 18.5"

century Actor/Performer who was the father of the “Seven Little Foys” of Vaudeville and movie fame. Eddie Foy III is also the son of Eddie Foy, Jr. (naturally), world famous television and movie actor. Eddie Foy III made a name for himself, first as an actor in such pictures as “Run Silent, Run Deep”, and then went on to become what many have called one of the most successful casting director to ever work in Television and Motion Pictures, being named by the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences as the most influential casting director in the history of television. His enormous list of shows he has worked with include the likes of “Barney Miller”, "M.A.S.H.", "The Monkees", "Hill Street Blues" and “Mork and Mindy”, and has been the discoverer of such talents as Robin Williams and Sally Field (Who he cast as ‘Gidget’).

Eddie is also an AVID boxing fan and collector! He was very dear friends with World Boxing Hall Of Fame Boxer Billy Graham and rubbed elbows with some of the top names to ever grace the squared circle. He has hosted many events for the World Boxing Hall of Fame, sitting on their board of directors

Even if you don’t know him, chances are you have come across his body of work at some time in your life. Above all else though, Eddie is one of the nicest guys you could ever meet (He’s a friend of mine, I should know). He genuinely cares for the pieces in his collection, but understands you can’t hang on to things forever, so he has commissioned me (A friend from church in the ‘picking’ business) to pass on his treasures so others can enjoy them.
