ANTIQUE FACTORY GLOVE MOLD
Interesting and unusual large antique molded porcelain factory glove mold measuring a whopping 15-1/8" tall. Featuring a wonderful open hand design complete with molded thumb, mold is unfinished bisque around the wrist and glazed porcelain everywhere else. Bearing the blue GENERAL PORCELAIN TRENTON, NJ blue mark as well as MEDIUM BAXTER, it is stamped JUL 25 1992. Hand stands independently and is perfect displaying a variety of vanity items such as jewelry, purses, etc.
Condition is great with no chips, cracks, hairlines, repairs, etc. - minor soiling and light scuff marks from use - these do not detract. Designed to facilitate drying and forming of rubber gloves, these old industrial molds are so cool - think it would be awesome in a loft or mid-century modern space. Fun addition to any collection!
