Millinery Hat Block Crown Indent Shaper Block Size 7 ⅛ Vintage [C31]

Description

This is a shaping block, to be used in the top of a western or fedora hat. Weight it from the top, to set in that cowboy crease.
There is a crack near the center back, good glue and a clamp will restore this rare gem. (There is also a small bit shaved off the base -- you can barely see it at the top edge in the photo of the bottom of the block -- it's small enough that it won't affect the hat shaping).
Part number 810 is stamped in the base.

about 2 ¼ inches high at the tallest part, sloping down to about 1 ¼ inches at the point
