    Description

    This is a double weight matte finish photograph of
    Helen Ford (1894 – 1982)
    an American singer and actress. She was considered a musical prodigy as a child. In 1920, she had the role of Toinette in Always You, Oscar Hammerstein's first musical.
    A "Rodgers, Hart, and Fields' favorite", she starred in three of their Broadway productions:
    Dearest Enemy (1925),
    Peggy-Ann (1926) and Chee-Chee (1928)
    .
    She appears on the Dec 1925 issue of Theatre Magazine.
    She went on to appear in films and television programs, and has 27 credits listed on IMDB 1948-1975.
    NOTE: I do not know if the inscription and initialed H. F. autograph is secretarial or authentic.
