Description
Iam listing an ethnic design necklace that I created, made with vintage African millefiori glass trade beads originally made in Venice, and most dating from the late 19th century. These are strung with very old bronze elements that look like nails, but are described as phallic symbols, and are seen strung on antique currency necklaces along with bells, and other currency items. Necklace listed is strung on leather, with another vintage African bell in the back to connect the leather ends. 28” necklace is made to go over your head, and bell element doesn’t open.
Beads came from the VERY large estate of a long time collector and dealer of African art, and most of his items were bought in the late 1960's and early 1970's when he had a gallery in Santa Fe. Many of the things I was lucky enough to buy were rare and very old.
Please watch my site for other necklaces I will be listing, that I have designed with vintage, Pre-Columbian, gemstone, and trade beads, strung with ethnic and antique pendants, fishing lures, those of my own design and castings, and other funky, fun and interesting things I find on my flea market adventure.
Thanks for looking.
