The 2 page deed is a conveyance from John Campbell of Duchess County, New York to Oliver Ames, Jr. for a price of ,000,a parcel in Salisbury, Litchfield County, Connecticut lying on both sides of the highway leading from Falls Village Bridge, along the Housatonic River, containing 40 acres with FIVE FORGES, together with 13 dwelling houses, one office, 3 barns and other buildings thereon.
