    Description

    BUDDHA AMULET ~ STERLING ~HANDMADE, DETAILED, VINTAGE ~ Phra LeeLaa ~ grace & internal beauty
    The hands are in the right position, but perhaps this is Phra Leela/Ahaina, that is the feet are still rather than having one raised.    The figure itself is raised 'en cameo'.  It and the  immediate surrounding is depicted in polished copper, inset in the thick  sterling amulet.    The back is marked 925, along with additional written characters, and the back is open in the form of a character and inside that can be seen a left facing elephant within a circle, additional writing below the circle. The amulet is 2 1/2 inches high including the little bail at top.  Weighty, the thickness in a step-layer is  11 mm (7/16 inch).    The 30 inch chain, a lovely vintage handmade sterling one,  is marked LVP  (
    La Vie Parisienne)
    France.
