A splendid and attractive Receipt from the days when this was a powerful and vigorous American labor union. Original, clean, in Good condition. 6" x 3"with a lettered moire background.
Receipt dated February 29, 1920, during the anti-union post World War I 'Red Scare' period;
Punched for "February" and for "1920";
Receipt No. 133, signed by treasurer of the local;
Hand-stamped in purple to state the twice-a-month meetings of the local;
.25 for March dues, and $.25 for Protective Fund for March;
A statement on the reverse pertaining to 'Order for Secret Work' promoting the Union.
The Union was referred to as a 'Lodge' in those years. Splendid for the Rail collector. We do try to describe them correctly - We want you back as a customer - hundreds of repeat customers.
