ANTIQUE/VINTAGE WOOD HAT MOLD MILLINERS FORM 5-PIECE PUZZLE BLOCK

Description

Beautiful example of vintage 5-piece hat block mold used by milliners to fashion hats.  Solid wood.  Displays authentic character of a classic era.  4 pieces slide off base easily and fit together snugly.
I have not oiled or otherwise enhanced wood in order to keep original character. There are natural variations in the wood surface that I tried to capture in the photographs.  If you need more info, please inquire.
This piece is mold number 729, which is written on both sides with a marker (I think it's marker), and is carved into rear side.  The mold size is 22, which is also carved into the side.
Approx. 8" tall.
Pages of vintage newspaper can be seen when pieces are separated.
