Antique Wooden Child Shoe Form / Mold -Size 8 1/2  Metal Inset

Description

7 1/8 inches long, 31/4 inches tall, widest 2 1/2 inches.  Two screws holding the 2 piece together.  Looks like a separate piece of wood on each half in a thin line in the middle.  Metal inset into the wood.   Where the screws are inset the wood has been "gouged" into.  Looks like a "C" in  a leaf.. or maybe a 1 cent, as the screw covers it up.
Don't know what else to say, can't find anything else like this on the internet, so can't figure out the age, or when for where made.
