Antique Gentleman's "Hat Band Stretcher " wooden frame 1920's Industrial Mold

Description

nice antique gentleman's hat band stretcher. We believe it was made  in the 1920's.  This is an ingenious device in the form of an industrial mold. When closed the mold will be size 6 ¾ and as you slowly untwist the metal handle the  measuring rods come out of the mold expanding it, and increasing the circumference to size 7 ¾ max.
The mold fits inside the hat band and serves to shape it probably using steam.  The handle for enlarging the mold is metal with a nice hand grip. Please enjoy
