    Description

    This is an antique iron metal stacking bracelet that is flat on the sides which was worn and used as currency by African tribal people for trading transactions. This iron currency bracelet was collected in Mali, Africa. This iron primitive money currency specimen has a few very slight etched design patterns and is in great overall antique tribally used condition with wear and a rusty patina.
    This currency specimen measures 3.63 inches wide and has an outer circumference of 10.90 inches.
    Currency bracelets & anklets served as indications of wealth and were used to store finances, pay for dowries and buy or trade for livestock and goods. This is an amazing example and a perfect piece to add to any advanced African currency collection. The most common forms of traditional money in Africa were made of metal, either forged or cast.
