African Metal Necklace Antique Or Vintage

I wish I knew more about this necklace. Anyone who knows more I would like you to contact me, please. A friend who runs an antique store told me it is African. The necklace measures approximately 18 inches long. The figures are about 3/4 inch long. There is no clasp.
