20" Old Industrial Wood Pattern Machinery Support arm/ leg Foundry Casting Mold
Actual dimensions:
19 3/4" tall,
5 1/2" by 1 1/2" at the base.
A couple inches above the base bottom,  it widens to approx 6", 1 15/16" thick.
Solid wood pattern.
Interesting shape, with one side curved inward, the other side put.  All smooth, great for a display to put just about anything on.
The bottom has a slight bevel to it, so i stands with a slight lilt, it could be  shaved or sanded down a little to make it sit  flat.
Today, there are almost no molds made anymore from wood.  They are either made from plastic stock or metal.
This mold  is from an age of days gone by, where most patterns were made from wood.

My father is winding down his 50 year pattern industry business, and this came from his pattern archives.
Specifically, I do not know what  this was for,  this is old enough that records are no longer available to identify. My dads shop used to make  molds for a latex glove manufacturer,, it is possible it is related to that, my father just doesn't remember. .
This was the original wood mold, my fathers' business was subcontracted by a  foundry to make the original mold for this shaft.
Made from solid   mahogany wood.  Painted Red.  My fathers' shop either painted all red, or left natural wood .
This will make a great table decoration if you love industrial related items!
