(2) Antique Wooden Industrial Foundry Sand Casting Form Patterns for Molds

We are very pleased to offer
two antique wooden foundry molds from the late 1800's. A foundry used these molds in a sand-casting process to produce the items in cast iron. They were made by skilled craftsmen whose precision woodworking made perfect replicas of the cast iron pieces their customers requested. One measures 9-1/4" tall by 3-1/4" wide, is numbered on the back, "1 / 700900" and has a hanger attached to the back. The other measures 6-1/8" tall by 3" wide. Both pieces are in very good, as-found condition, with no damage and surface wear consistent with age and use. Two great antique pieces of American Industrial history, perfect for urban industrial decor!
