  • Condition: The photographer is Rolland Hendrickson ~ famous in his own right. There are a total of 11 cool images: 6 of Eddie Fisher / 2 of Corbett Monica / and 3 of the dancers. Also included with all this rare & original material are two programs from the 1964 show. Together - these constitute the most complete historical archive for this outstanding stage show. Contact Sheet Measures 8 x 10"Size of Individual Images on each Neg Stripare approx. 2.25" Square. Excellent Condition. Negs are stored in envelope attached to backside of contact sheet.

    Description

    Original negatives and contact sheet from a 1960s stage show performed at the Melodyland Theatre in Anaheim (just a few blocks away from Disneyland).
    The musical and comedy show ran for one week in 1964 as part of their "Celebrity Series". Titled the "Eddie Fisher Show", his special guest star was comedian Corbett Monica (famous from 'The Tonight Show'). There was an opening act featuring the Maldonado Dancers.
    Back in the fabulous 1960s ~ the big musical theater fad in Los Angeles was theater-in-the-round. In Southern California there were only a handful of venues including
    Melodyland
    , the
    Carousel
    in West Covina, and the
    Circle Star
    in San Carlos. Little is left to document this era except the occasional program ~ but we've discovered an important archive of photographic material from some 35 different musical productions. Please check to see what we'll be unveiling. Just look in our store categories under "

    The image quality may look poor on all the little thumbnails you're seeing ~ but remember you're just seeing a scan of a contact sheet. All of the original negatives are included in an envelope attached to the back of the 8x10" contact sheet ~ so you will get stunning results with either your negative scanner and software (or - dare I even mention an old-fashioned darkroom enlarger).
    Our watermarked name 'AKACHUCK' and dotted line are added for the buyer's protection. These do not appear on the original 1960s contact sheets or negs you will receive.
